Sophie Wessex was reunited with her friends from Downton Abbey as she paid them a visit on set. This time around, the Countess had a very special guest in tow – the First Lady of Mexico, Angelica Rivera.
The wife of President Enrique Peña Nieto, who is a soap actress in her native country, looked right at home as she met some of the UK's most famous small-screen stars.
The private visit will have been particularly entertaining for Angelica, who has appeared in several Latin American shows since her twenties.
Coordinating in monochrome outfits, Sophie and Angelica stood out from Downton cast members Hugh Bonneville, Laura Carmichael, Michelle Dockery, Sophie McShera and Elizabeth McGovern, who remained in their period costumes for the visit.
Their royal acquaintance looked classically elegant in her favourite white Prada coat, which Sophie wore during her 50th birthday engagements earlier this year.
The Countess, who carried out a charity engagement with some of the Downton cast members last November, completed her chic look with an oversized burgundy clutch bag. Sophie added height to her statuesque figure with a pair of black heels and swept her blond hair back into a tight chignon.

Angelica, 45, likewise scored high in the style stakes, opting for a chequered knee-length skirt that featured a ruffled hemline. The Mexican beauty – who is best known for her leading role in soap Destilando Amor (meaning Distilling Love) – finished off her look with a black blazer and leather handbag.
Angelica has been supporting her husband President Peña Nieto throughout their short trip to the UK this week. The politician and his wife kicked off their tour by meeting the Queen and Prince Philip on Tuesday morning.

The group took horse-drawn carriages from the Horse Guards Parade down along The Mall to Buckingham Palace, where they enjoyed a lavish lunch.
Their visit also included a state banquet with Her Majesty, and another banquet at Guildhall, given by The Lord Mayor and City of London Corporation. Angelica wowed at Wednesday night's black-tie dinner, donning an off-the-shoulder floating black gown.
Sophie is not the only member of the British royal family who was able to rub shoulders with the Downton cast. The Duchess of Cambridge, who is due to give birth to Prince George's younger brother or sister next month, will visit the set on 12 March.
