Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden kicked off her four-day visit of South Korea with her devoted husband Prince Daniel at her side. The Swedish prince has been notably absent from public engagements in the past month, but on Monday Daniel was once again on hand to support his wife.

Landing at Incheon International Airport, Victoria and Daniel were greeted by a host of state officials.

The future queen of Sweden showed no signs of having travelled almost 5,000 miles from her native Stockholm.

A radiant Victoria channelled a casual chic look, wearing a thin black sweater, black trousers and a smart blazer. The 37-year-old royal had left her brunette hair loose over her shoulders and was all smiles as she touched down in the Far Eastern country.

Daniel, 41, followed closely behind, looking just as well-groomed in a navy suit.

The couple are on tour to boost bilateral cooperation between Sweden and South Korea, and to discuss issues of mutual interest including health care, welfare, gender equality and the economy. Victoria and Daniel are also expected to hold meetings with Prime Minister Lee Wan-koo.

The royals made no delay in carrying out their first engagement, which saw the couple travel to Panmunjom, to the demilitarised zone. The zone is a strip of land that was established at the end of the Korean War to separate North and South Korea and act as a buffer area.

Victoria and Daniel were given binoculars and able to inspect the space around them, as well as talk to delegates from the Neutral Nations Supervisory Commission who are originally from Sweden. Sweden was one of the countries that was chosen to hold a presence in the demilitarised zone, as the European state did not participate in the hostilities in Korea.

Victoria's most recent public engagement was earlier in March when she stepped out to the palace courtyard to celebrate her name day, Victoria Day. The Swedish heir was joined by her adorable three-year-old daughter Princess Estelle, who matched her mum in a royal purple coat.

When asked about Prince Daniel's whereabouts, Victoria said, "He had to do other things today unfortunately," before laughing about her sweet daughter, "But I am in good company, right?"

Daniel, meanwhile, was last seen attending the FIS Nordic World Ski Championship in Falun, with his family.
