Princess Charlene of Monaco enjoys weekend of sporty engagements

Princess Charlene of Monaco is getting back into the swing of things following the birth of her twins at the end of last year. The statuesque royal, who became mother to Princess Gabriella and Prince Jacques on 10 December 2014, undertook two engagements this weekend.Dressed in a casual yet chic ensemble of jeans, a cream blouse and a sleeveless stone-coloured jacket, Charlene stepped out at the Prince's Palace of Monaco to host a lunch for tennis champion Roger Federer and his wife Mirka.

New parents Albert and Charlene no doubt discussed raising twins with Roger and Mirka, who have two sets of their own

Joined by Prince Albert, Charlene greeted Switzerland-born Roger and his wife as well as former tennis player Željko Franulović and Elisabeth-Anne de Massy, Albert's cousin, who was accompanied by her daughter Melanie.Mirka, who is in the principality to support Roger at the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters, handed new mum Charlene a bouquet of cream, purple and pink flowers.No doubt Albert and Charlene took the chance to discuss raising twins with Roger and Mirka who have two sets themselves.On 23 July 2009 Mirka gave birth to identical twin girls; one who is coincidently named Charlene Riva and the other called Myla Rose. Five years later, on 6 May 2014, the couple became parents again this time to twins boys whom they named Leo and Lennart.

The rugby tournament brought youngsters from nine different countries to Monaco

Saturday saw Charlene head to the Stade Louis II stadium for the fifth edition of the "Saint Devote Tournament" a rugby competition organised by the Monaco Rugby Federation in collaboration with Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation.

Youngsters from nine different countries, many of who were lucky enough to meet Charlene and receive a congratulary hug, made up the 12 teams.

While the 37-year-old princess was notably absent from the Monaco Rose Ball on 28 March, her flurry of recent engagements have prompted royal watchers to hope that more public events will return to her diary.Gabriella and Jacques' baptism is scheduled for 10 May, where their proud mum will take centre stage.
