With the eyes of the world on the Lindo Wing, royal watchers will be hoping to see a very special visitor arrive on Saturday afternoon. Prince George may be among the very first to meet the new Princess of Cambridge – his newborn baby sister – and fans camped outside St Mary's will be hoping that the little Prince is brought along to see her at the hospital.
It is not known if Prince George will visit the Lindo Wing
It is not yet known whether the Duchess of Cambridge will leave the Lindo Wing on Saturday, or will remain in overnight. If she and Prince William do decide to take their baby girl home on the same day of her arrival, there is a chance that they will introduce their son to his little sister within the privacy of their home at Kensington Palace. However, if Kate does decide to stay in hospital, the new parents might choose to have George come to visit. Surprisingly it would only be the second time he has been seen in the country officially – the first being on the steps of the Lindo Wing in July 2013, when his parents proudly introduced him to the world.

Before they were admitted to hospital, the royal parents hadn't made a final decision on whether George would come to visit. A royal source said: "That will be a decision they make, as parents, on the day." William was taken in to see his brother Prince Harry, after he was born in 1984, and it could be William follows tradition as far as George is concerned.Back in 2013, in the hours after Prince George's arrival, there were a number of visitors to the hospital where William and Kate were spending precious moments with their baby boy.First to visit the newborn Prince were Kate's parents, Carole and Michael Middleton. They arrived by taxi to meet their new grandson for the first time and spoke briefly to waiting reports before they left, saying that the new arrival was "absolutely beautiful" and that mother and child were "both doing really well".
