Prince Charles clearly has his newborn granddaughter Princess Charlotte on his mind. The 66-year-old royal, who became a grandfather for the second time on Saturday 2 May, couldn't help but sing the new arrival's praises as his undertook an engagement on Friday.The Prince of Wales said Charlotte was "very beautiful" during a visit to the Dorset town of Poundbury."I did congratulate Charles on the birth of his granddaughter and told him he needs to bring her here sometime," Margaret Morrissey chairwoman of the town's management committee, told the Dorset Echo. "He told us she was very beautiful."

The Prince was in Poundbury, a town built on land owned by the Duchy of Cornwall according to Charles' town planning principles, to open the new Poundbury Cancer Institute.On Sunday, the day after she was born in the Lindo Wing at St Mary's Hospital in Paddington, Prince Charles headed to Kensington Palace to meet Princess Charlotte.

Accompanied by his wife the Duchess of Cornwall, Charles smiled and waved excitedly to media outside the London residence ahead of seeing his first granddaughter for the first time.Just two days later and the doting grandfather was back at the Palace, no doubt keen to see Charlotte again before William and Kate headed to their country residence Anmer Hall.
