As Prince Harry continues to charm his way round New Zealand, the newest member of the royal family is very much in the minds of well-wishers. He was given a children's book for Princess Charlotte while her brother George received wellington boots.
The presents from the University of Canterbury in Christchurch were pictured on Kensington Palace's Instagram. In another cheeky gesture the gift basket also included some 'Prince Harry' ginger beer for the red-headed royal.
Harry will almost certainly be coming back with excess baggage. He has previously received a cuddly toy and a babygro in the colours of New Zealand’s top Rugby Union team the Wellington Hurricanes, for his newborn niece.
On Thursday he hit the gym with All Blacks ruby star Ryan Crotty in Christchurch, tweeting the picture himself. The post was signed H to show he had sent it himself.
The city was hit by an earthquake in 2011, which killed 185 people and his visit was to support regeneration efforts in the area.
On the trip he bumped into a former matron who cared for him at Ludgrove School. Vicky McBratley, who is now a pre-school teacher in New Zealand, had waited in the pouring rain to see her former charge. "My goodness I remember you. Long time no see, " he told her.
Harry then spent a few minutes looking at a collection of pictures she had brought of him with his old school friends.
Harry told these two babies: "You guys look great together"
Earlier in the day the Prince toured a museum dedicated to the earthquake, stopping patiently to chat to hundreds of fans gathered outside. He agreed to a have a selfie with 14-year-old Finlay Martin the Telegraph reported. "He said he didn't do selfies but he would do this one but not look at the camera," she said. "I was actually more excited than I thought I would be. "The other highlight was a fellow red-head, six-year-old Riley Harris who showed him a placard saying: "Keep calm. Ginger is the spice of life."
Harry told the little boy: "Gingers rule. Don't ever let anyone hassle you about it and hang that sign up above your bed."
