Michelle and Harry previously met at a mother's day tea hosted for military mothers in the US in 2013.

Following her royal meeting at Kensington Palace, Michelle paid a visit to the Mulberry School for Girls in Tower Hamlets, East London. The First Lady was presented with flowers and treated to a dance performance upon her arrival, before hosting a talk about how Britain and the US are working together to improve adolescent girls' education around the world.

Following their trip to London, the family will fly on to Italy to meet US armed services families based in Europe and to visit the Milan Expo as part of Michelle's work encouraging healthier diets for children.
