The Countess of Wessex and Autumn Phillips were clearly enjoying each other's company as they took in the equestrian action on the second day of Royal Ascot. The two stylish ladies were seen having a chuckle as they left the royal procession, which also had the Queen and Prince Philip arriving in style.
Sophie and Autumn both wore gorgeous on-trend dresses to day two of Ascot
Sophie, who wore a gorgeous long-sleeved striped Emilia Wickstead dress, with nude heels and a white and black hat, couldn't keep the smile off her face. Autumn, wearing a Katherine Hooker green jacket over a white floral dress and a bespoke hat by Emily-London, was equally full of mirth.
Royal Ascot has certainly given the royal family plenty of opportunities to spend time together this week. Day one of the annual race meeting saw the Queen joined by her grandchildren, Prince Harry, Princess Beatrice, Peter Phillips, and Zara Tindall.
The pair kept the conversation flowing all day
Greeted with huge cheers, the Queen was joined by Harry, Philip and Prince Andrew in the horse-drawn carriage, as the royal procession made its way into the grounds.
Royal Ascot, founded by Queen Anne in 1711, enjoys a long association with the British royals, due in part to its close proximity to Windsor Castle.
The Queen arrived to huge cheers
The Queen is constantly kept informed of the order and the development of the racing programme throughout the year, having owned 22 winning horses including Estimate, 2013's winner of the historic Gold Cup.
Attended by thousands of race-goers who are all dressed to impress, each day of the five-day meeting commences with a royal procession, and the arrival of the Queen and the royal party in horse-drawn landau carriages is televised each year.
