She may have broken her arm after falling from her horse last week, but Princess Josephine of Denmark was in remarkably high spirits during her first high-profile appearance since the accident. The adorable little girl was attending an equestrian parade with her parents Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary on Sunday when she was spotted wearing a cast.
Josephine, who is the royal couple's youngest child, smiled and waved to well-wishers and at one point couldn't contain her excitement as she saw the young riders file out in procession.
The animated four-year-old happily accepted bouquets from the riders and - in a real "ahh" moment - was pictured smelling a daisy.

Josephine was joined by her twin brother Prince Vincent and her older siblings Princess Isabella, eight, and Prince Christian, nine, who is second-in-line to the throne.
The youngster matched her older sister Isabella in a green floral-printed dress, while her brothers were dressed smartly in shorts and shirts. Crown Princess Mary, 43, looked her usual elegant self in a cream summery dress that she paired with nude wedges.

The royal family are currently spending the children's long break at their official summer residence Grasten Castle, in southern Denmark.
Their last notable appearance as a family of six was in April, during Queen Margrethe II's 75th birthday celebrations. The group joined Margrethe on the balcony of Copenhagen's town hall and were pictured waving at well-wishers below.

Last week reports emerged that Josephine had broken her arm after falling during a riding lesson at Grasten Castle. Photos of the fair-haired little girl were circulated on Twitter, showing Josephine leaving hospital in a sling that looked to have been signed, presumably by her friends and family.
