Princess Charlene and Prince Albert share the look of love at Red Cross Ball

July 26, 2015

Just hours after attending the glamorous wedding of Pierre Casiraghi and Beatrice Borromeo in the royal palace, Princess Charlene of Monaco and her husband Prince Albert were out again celebrating another special occasion – this time the glittering Red Cross Ball.

Charlene, 37, slipped out of her daytime wedding attire and donned an equally elegant outfit for the gala.

The former Olympian chose a one-shoulder red jump suit that showed off her statuesque, swimmer's physique, and completed her look with gold, strappy heels.

She was joined at Saturday night's affair in Monte Carlo by her husband Prince Albert, 57, who gallantly led Charlene onto the dancefloor. Looking very much in love, the couple, who are parents to seven-month-old twins Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, twirled around the ballroom as they were watched by fellow partygoers.

Charlene and Albert seemed to be enjoying a night off parenting duty and mingled with other guests in the legendary Salle des Etoiles at the Sporting Monte Carlo. The venue, which was instructed to be built by Albert's father Prince Rainier III, has hosted the gala since its foundation in 1948.

Entertainment on the night was provided by Sting, who kicked off his performance after the sit-down dinner.

Notable absentees on the night, which is considered a highlight in the Monegasque social calendar, were Princess Caroline and her children Pierre, Andrea and Charlotte Casiraghi and Princess Alexandra. The group were joining Pierre and his new wife Beatrice in their wedding celebrations.

Earlier that day, Princess Caroline's younger son and his beautiful journalist love were married in a civil ceremony in one of the palace's salons. The newlyweds were then joined by no less than 700 guests at their "garden party-style" reception, also in the palace.
