Pierre Casiraghi pictured hours before saying 'I do' in 2nd wedding

If he was feeling nervous, Pierre Casiraghi certainly wasn’t showing it. Smart in a grey morning suit and pale-blue tie, Princess Caroline's son looked happy and relaxed as he left the Borromeo Island’s Grande Hotel to make his way to the location of his second wedding to Beatrice Borromeo.

Following their civil ceremony, the newlyweds celebrated their union with a second, religious wedding. The couple said "I do" in Monaco's royal palace last weekend, but on Saturday, it was time for Pierre and Beatrice to tie the knot again in the bride's native Italy.

The couple are celebrating their second wedding ceremony in Italy

The 27-year-old groom was flanked by several members of the wedding party – most likely groomsmen – who were wearing traditional morning suits with yellow waistcoats. And soon seen exiting the same hotel was his brother Andrea Casiraghi, with his son Sasha in his arms and his wife Tatiana Santo Domingo at his side. Other guests followed, including singer Lana Del Rey and her boyfriend Francesco Carrozzini – photographer son of Italian journalist Franca Sozzani, family friend of the bride and groom.

Royal couple Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Prince Mette Marit were also spotted with their son Marius making their way to catch a boat to take them to the bride’s family-owned island of Isolino di San Giovanni on Lake Maggiore.

Princess Caroline of Monaco's son and his Italian wife, who belongs to the aristocratic Borromean family, held their religious ceremony on the vows on the picturesque private island, which cannot be accessed by members of the public, in front of their nearest and dearest.

Pierre's mother and his sister Charlotte and were also in attendance, with brother Andrea playing the part of a witness.

The nuptials took place on the family-owned Borromean islands on Saturday 1 August

On the bride's side, Beatrice's parents Count Don Carlo Ferdinando Borromeo and Countess Donna Paola Marzotto watched their daughter say "I do" for a second time. Beatrice's maternal grandmother Marta Marzotto is also believed to have acted as a witness at the ceremony.

Though the ceremony was kept strictly under wraps, there was one guest providing a glimpse inside the couple’s big day. Pierre’s friend Lapo Elkann posted a picture of himself en route in a vintage car, then shared a picture from the gardens at the celebration, which showed him crouching down on a cushion with his former girlfriend Bianca Brandolini, pretty in a checkered Dolce & Gabbana dress.

After the religious ceremony, Pierre and Beatrice, who have been together for seven years, were expected to travel to the southern shores of Lake Maggiore to the Rocca d'Angera. The castle, which stands on a hilltop and is made up of five historical halls and two towers, served as the reception venue.

The impressive fortress, which houses a museum, was closed to the public for the weekend of Pierre and Beatrice's wedding, from 30 July to 3 August.

While the couple have remained tight-lipped about their nuptials, it is thought that Pierre and Beatrice may hold part of their wedding celebrations outdoors in one of the castle's beautiful, botanical gardens. At last week's ceremony, the bride and groom took advantage of Monaco's sunshine and held their picnic-style reception outdoors.

The castle's gardens are described on Rocca d'Angera's official website as a "lost paradise" featuring herb bushes and medicinal plants.

However, the castle's interiors would be another fitting option, as Pierre and Beatrice can entertain their guests in one of the five majestic salons.

While fashionistas eagerly await the first photos of Beatrice at her second wedding, it is believed that the bride will have turned to her home country for her dress. At her civil ceremony, the statuesque journalist wore two Valentino dresses so it wouldn't come as a surprise if Beatrice donned the same high-end Italian designer for her big day.

Royal brides in the past have walked down the aisle in Valentino, but the bride has an extra special connection to the designer. Her uncle Count Matteo Marzotto was the former president and director of Valentino when the label belonged to the Marzotto Group.
