November 4, 2015

Queen Máxima of the Netherlands returned to her royal duties on Wednesday after recovering from her kidney infection. The royal, who was forced to cut short her state visit to China last week, joined Crown Princess Mary of Denmark for the World Conference of Women's Shelters at the World Forum, The Hague.

Máxima appeared to be back in good health after being released from hospital on Saturday, and looked radiant in a fitted orange top and grey pencil skirt. She wore her coat draped over her shoulders and waved to fans who had gathered outside.

Meanwhile Crown Princess Mary looked typically stylish in a baby pink double-breasted coat with co-ordinating pencil skirt and black turtleneck jumper. The Danish royal is great friends with Máxima and was seen giving her a warm embrace as they chatted inside the venue.

The pair were both supporting the third World Conference of Women's Shelters, with Máxima taking to the stage to give an impassioned speech about the importance of ensuring women are protected from violence and are helped to become economically independent.
