Prince William is predicting a sleepless night on Christmas Eve. The 33-year-old says that Prince George is so excited about Christmas this year, he will likely be "bouncing around like a rabbit" ahead of their family celebrations.

Speaking to The Big Issue magazine, William joked: "George will be bouncing around like a rabbit. If I get any sleep on Christmas Eve, it'll be good."

Christmas is set to be extra special for William and his wife the Duchess of Cambridge, née Kate Middleton, as they will also be celebrating with their daughter Princess Charlotte for the first time - something he is "looking forward" to.

"So that will be two children, one who suddenly appreciates Christmas, which could be quite challenging. But I'm looking forward to it," William told journalist Sophia Kichou.

As for how they will spend Christmas Day? They will start the day by going to church as a family "as we always do", before returning home to share gifts.

"We'll watch George try to tackle his presents as he tries to unwrap them. It's a very different experience at Christmas, having a family of your own," William explained. "It'd be nice if we got a white Christmas because we haven't had one in many years."

While William and Kate have not confirmed where they will be spending Christmas, it is believed that they will break tradition and host the Middleton family at Anmer Hall rather than join the Queen and other members of the royal family at Sandringham House.

The Prince has already been getting into the festive spirit as Christmas approaches, by joining his mother-in-law Carole Middleton and sister-in-law Pippa at a traditional carols concert in Chelsea on Wednesday evening.
