When the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their royal children starred in a new set of family portraits, it was Princess Charlotte who stole the show. The little girl smiled from ear to ear against a snowy backdrop, showing off her first teeth for the camera.
The royals travelled to the French Alps for their first ski holiday as a family-of-four last week, taking the opportunity to pose for a set of six portraits which were released by Kensington Palace on Monday.
Princess Charlotte showed off her first teeth
The photos were the first glimpse of the ten-month-old's adorable little teeth. Dressed in a white bodysuit and pink hat, the royal baby giggled as her father proudly held her.
William and Charlotte's special bond is beautifully displayed in their solo portrait. The father-of-two recently opened up about how he is preparing himself for the drama as the princess gets older.
"[She is] very sweet, but all fathers say ‘just you wait, when you get to nine, 10, 11 they go crazy. I’m looking forward to it, there will be some drama," he said.
The royals enjoyed their first sky holiday as a family-of-four
Both Charlotte and Prince George are following the typical pattern of two bottom teeth first. George was almost eight-months-old when his first milk tooth started coming through and his father said he was "doing well" with his weaning at the time.
In another snap from the set, doting mum Kate is seen holding her daughter in her arms, while fair-haired George stands proudly next to his dad.
A Kensington Palace spokesperson confirmed that William and Kate flew out for a long weekend, and wanted to share the snaps with the public.
The photos were taken in the French Alps
"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to share new photographs of their family," the spokesperson said. "The images show Their Royal Highnesses enjoying a short skiing holiday with their children in the French Alps.
"This was their first holiday as a family of four and the first time either of the children had played in the snow. It was very special and fun short holiday for the family, and they are grateful that John Stillwell [The PA photographer] was able to capture the moment so well.
"The Duke and Duchess hope people enjoy the photos."
