Next year will mark the 20th anniversary of Princess Diana's tragic death at the age of 36, and sons Prince William and Prince Harry already know how they will mark the occasion.
It has been revealed that the royals are backing plans for a new memorial garden to be built at Kensington Palace to commemorate the life of their mother who passed away on 31 August 1997.
Prince William and Prince Harry plan to honour their mother with a garden at Kensington Palace
The Historic Royal Palaces – the charity that looks after some of the most iconic sites in the UK today including Kensington Palace – is assembling a team to begin planning the project.
The jobs are currently being advertised on their website.
A Palace source confirmed that Princess Diana's children were being kept informed of developments: "No tribute to Princess Diana would be given the go-ahead without the princes' approval."
The news of the memorial comes just days after Prince Harry revealed how his charity work has been inspired by his late mother and shared the "special gifts" she had during an interview with Good Morning America.

The 31-year-old royal spoke to presenter Robin Roberts about the happiest memories of the mother he lost when he was just 12 years old. "I hope she's looking down, you know, with tears in her eyes, being incredibly proud of what we've established, I suppose," he said.
"I'm sure she's longing for me to have kids so she can be a grandmother again. I hope that everything we do privately and officially, that it makes her proud. I think losing your mother at such a young age does end up shaping your life massively. Of course, it does, and now I find myself trying to be there and give advice to other people who are in similar positions."
Harry also said that he and his brother Prince William are determined to continue Diana's legacy by drawing attention to worthy causes.
"We will do everything we can to make sure that she's never forgotten and carry on all the special gifts, as such, that she had and that she portrayed while she was alive," he said. "I hope that a lot of my mother's talents are shown in a lot of the work that I do."
