Crown Princess Mary completes course at Harvard

Crown Princess Mary might have just taken the title as Europe's hardest-working royal. As well as juggling her official duties with caring for her four children, the princess recently completed a course at the prestigious Harvard University, it has been revealed.From 28 March until 8 April, the 44-year-old was in the USA taking part in a short course in Boston. 'Global Leadership and Public Policy for the 21st Century' is offered by the Harvard Kennedy School and is targeted to members of the community known as Young Global Leaders.

Mary was appointed as a Young Global Leader in 2012, based on her work with the Mary Foundation. Her foundation's mission is "improve the lives of children, adults, and families who – as a result of their environment, heredity, illness or circumstances – find themselves social isolated or excluded from society", and focuses on three areas of action; bullying and wellbeing, domestic violence and loneliness.As a result of her tireless work within that sphere, Mary is a member of The Young Global Leaders Forum, a unique network of people who can contribute to solving some of the world's humanitarian challenges, including diversity, tolerance and inclusion.

Just a few days before her trip to the US, Mary was photographed at a formal gala dinner in Copenhagen with her husband Crown Prince Frederik. The photogenic couple were among the senior royals to attend the Art and Culture dinner hosted by Queen Margrethe at Christiansborg Palace.Earlier in the month, Mary and Frederik undertook an official visit to Qatar together. One of the highlights of their tour was a visit to Aspire Academy, where husband and wife impressed onlookers with the football skills.
