The Queen is hiring a new social media manager

As Queen Elizabeth II celebrates her 90th birthday, you have the chance to become part of her loyal team. The British Monarchy is looking for a new social media manager – meaning it's somebody's job to post Her Majesty's candid behind-the-scenes shots to Twitter!The official title of the position is Head of Digital Entertainment, it's based in Buckingham Palace and it offers a competitive salary. If successful, the lucky candidate will be in charge of increasing The Queen's presence on social media, so could we soon be receiving a regular stream of Royal selfies?

The British Monarchy is looking for a new social media manager

"It's about never standing still and finding new ways to maintain The Queen's presence in the public eye and on the world stage," the official job advert reads. "This is what makes working for the Royal Household exceptional. "The Palace is looking for somebody who has 'experience of managing and editing high profile websites, social media and other digital formats'. But it's not just one Twitter feed, the position will involve maintaining and growing the accounts of The British Monarchy, Kensington Palace and Clarence House.

The Queen has three Twitter accounts, an official Facebook page and a YouTube account

You might assume Her Majesty doesn't have her finger on the pulse of the latest digital trends, but she also has an official Facebook page and YouTube channel.

It's clear whoever gets the job will have a task on their hands, and it goes without saying that working for the Royal Family in any way requires the highest professionalism. The advert also states: "The reaction to our work is always high-profile, and so reputation, brand and impact will be at the forefront of all you do. And having your work shared around the world will be the biggest reward."
