Princess Charlotte turned one on Monday, and her royal cuteness was gifted with presents to mark the occasion from all over the world.

It read: "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are incredibly grateful for all the letters, gifts and good wishes they have been fortunate to receive in the year since Princess Charlotte was born."

The Duke and Duchess thanked well-wishers for Charlotte's gifts

President Barack Obama and his wife, First Lady Michelle Obama visited Princess Charlotte's home in April, and although the princess was fast asleep as the couple dined with her parents, they gifted her a jigsaw puzzle and a toy dog similar to the one they gave to Prince George when she was born in 2015.

Prime Minister David Cameron gave the Princess a copy of classic Hans Christian Andersen Fairy Tales, while the Prime Minister of Canada gave the royal a book along with a snowsuit and an incredible $100,000 donation in her honour to Immunize Canada, which promotes the understanding and use of vaccines recommended by the National Advisory Committee on Immunization.

Her aunt, Pippa Middleton gave her niece a very environmentally friendly gift, a set of biodegradable diapers made from natural mull cloth. However, the princess's grandad Prince Charles went with a more traditional approach, gifting his only granddaughter with a willow rattle made in Ireland.
