Is this Prince William, Kate and Prince Harry's biggest challenge to date?

May 9, 2016

Last month Prince William, Kate and Prince Harry teamed up for what Kensington Palace called their "biggest project to date". The royals introduced the Heads Together campaign and it has just been confirmed that on Monday 16 May, the trio will attend the launch event at the iconic Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

The project aims to end stigma on mental health – a cause that William, Kate and Harry champion – as well as change the national conversation on mental wellbeing.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry will work alongside seven mental health charities to achieve this.

At the launch, the royals will have the chance to outline their personal interest in establishing the campaign, and will set an ambitious target of what they want Heads Together to achieve.

They will be joined by campaigners, beneficiaries and ambassadors from the team of mental health charities, who will each lend their voices and decades of experience to the project, as well as explain to William, Kate and Harry what approaches they will use.

The seven charities are Best Beginnings, CALM – The Campaign Against Living Miserably, Contact (a military mental health coalition), Mind, Place2Be, The Mix, and YoungMinds.

"Mental health is just as important as physical health," said Kate

In April Kensington Palace announced that the royals had teamed up to support the campaign, by posting a photo of William, Kate and Harry as we've never seen them before. The Duke and Duchess and the Prince were dressed in casual gear and sported bright blue headbands for the cause.

In a video they announced the importance of Heads Together, with Kate saying, "Mental health is just as important as physical health," while Harry said, "We can all play our part by talking and listening to each other and helping each other find support."

Prince William concluded: "Let's get our heads together, and change the conversation about mental health."
