The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have sent thank you cards to those who posted a card or gift to Princess Charlotte on her birthday back in May. One excited royal fan spoke to HELLO! Online about receiving the very special note from Prince William and Kate, on behalf of their one-year-old.
The front of the card features a portrait that Kate took in honour of her daughter's first birthday, showing the little Princess dressed in a pink and white floral dress with a pink cardigan while looking up, her hand resting on a Wheels on the Bus children's book.
Jess shared a snap of her thank you card on Twitter
The note read: "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are most grateful for the very kind message you sent to Princess Charlotte on the occasion of her first birthday. It was really thoughtful of you and greatly appreciated."
Jess Ilse was one of the lucky people to receive a thank you card from the royals, and took to Twitter to show off her exciting mail, writing: "The lovely thank you card I received today for Princess Charlotte's birthday!"
She told HELLO! Online how pleased she was receiving the card, saying: "I was very excited when I opened my mailbox and saw Queen Elizabeth's cypher on the envelope. I couldn't wait to open it and see what was inside.
Jess sent the Princess a cute birthday card
"I absolutely adore that picture of Princess Charlotte, so I'm pretty excited to hang it on my wall with the other cards I've received."
Jess is a huge fan of the royals, and has received cards from the family several times before. She said: "I've sent cards to the Duke and Duchess on several other occasions as well, and have received replies for those.
"I just sent Charlotte a card for her birthday with a note inside wishing her the happiest of birthdays, and it had a little cupcake on the cover."
