June 10, 2016

In keeping with the theme of the night – Diamonds are Forever – the Countess of Wessex made a glittering and very radiant appearance on Thursday evening. She was attending the gala dinner with her husband Prince Edward and her father-in-law Prince Philip at Stoke Park.

While the night was held to celebrate the sixtieth anniversary of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award, Sophie, 51, managed to share the spotlight with Prince Philip, the founder of the scheme.

The Countess, who is Chair of Women in Business, dazzled in a blue-grey off-the-shoulder gown accessorised and silver clutch bag. She wore her blonde hair in a chignon and accessorised with a diamond necklace and drop earrings.

Sophie met Members of the Women in Business Committee before attending a reception for supporters and celebrity ambassadors, alongside Prince Philip and Prince Edward.

A highlight of the night was perhaps meeting past and present James Bond cast and crew including Sir Roger Moore, Dame Judi Dench and Naomie Harris. Naomie, who played Eve Moneypenny in Skyfall and Spectre, had dressed to impress in a black butterfly embellished gown from Zuhair Murad.

The Duchess also spent time chatting to Jane Seymour, who played Solitaire in the James Bond film Live and Let Die.
