It doesn't matter who you are, you're never too old for a telling off from your Gran. During this year's Trooping the Colour ceremony, Prince William received a gentle scold from his granny the Queen– and it's the best thing we've seen all week.

As the family made an appearance on the balcony of Buckingham Palace, William bent down to have a chat with little Prince George. But Her Majesty was not impressed. Clearly aware of the fact thousands of eyes were on them, she appeared to tell her grandchild to stand up.

The Queen appeared less-than-pleased about William crouching down

And William didn't waste any time in following granny's orders. Prince Harry could be seen behind his brother, seemingly chuckling at his telling off – but he was still sure to correct his posture before the Queen turned her attentions to him.

Clearly happy that Prince George was perfectly fine...

The Duke of Cambridge previously opened up about other time Her Majesty told him off, recalling when she gave him an "almighty b********g" as a child.

She appeared to tell her grandchild to stand up

Speaking during documentary The Queen at 90, William explained: "[Peter Phillips and I] were chasing Zara around who was on a go-cart, and [we] managed to herd Zara into a lamppost and the lamppost came down and nearly squashed her.

And William was quick to obey granny's orders

"And I remember my grandmother being the first person out at Balmoral to come running across the lawn in her kilt. She came charging over and gave us the most almighty b********g, and that sort of stuck in my mind from that moment on."
