No road rage here! Prince Carl Philip has apologised for inadvertently running a rival competitor off the road during the Swedish Touring Car Championship in Falkenberg on Saturday.
The 37-year-old royal's race took a scary turn after he lost control of his vehicle in the first heat of the weekend, forcing fellow driver Mattias Andersson off the circuit. "He came and apologised afterwards," Mattias told the Swedish newspaper outlet Corren. "[Carl] explained it be saying he lost control of the car."

This isn't the first racing mishap for the prince. Prior to his June 2015 wedding to Princess Sofia, he was involved in a collision with another STCC driver. While he has to retire from that race as a result, Carl Philip later redeemed himself during the second heat of last year's STCC, when he was named the winner after driver Frederik Larsson received a time penalty.
Following his 2015 win, Carl Philip was understandably excited to return to the track. In a statement released ahead of the start of the competition, he said: "Falkenberg is one of my favourite circuits and I am really proud of my victory here."
Carl Philip and Princess Sofia welcomed Prince Alexander on 19 April
Meanwhile, as her husband raced the circuit, Princess Sofia attended the Walk in the Park music festival on July 9 with her brother-in-law Prince Daniel. The Swedish beauty, who welcomed her first child, Prince Alexander, with Carl Philip in April, recently opened up in an interview about motherhood. "It's amazing," she told Sweden's Svenskdam. "Having children changes your whole life."
When asked whether the little Prince resembles her or her racing husband, Sofia revealed, "He's a little mixture of both of us! And it's different every day." Carl echoed his wife's sentiments on parenthood calling it "wonderful." He said, "The first time has been a shift, of course, but it is still absolutely amazing and wonderful."
