The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge took children to stay in stunning French chateau during holiday

August 13, 2016

The Duke of Duchess of Cambridge recently spent part of their summer holiday in a stunning 16th century chateau in France owned by multi-millionaire Michael Green, and took their two children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, along for the trip.

The family arrived to enjoy their holiday in early August, taking a private jet owned by the late Duke of Westminster, who passed away on Tuesday. During their ten-day stay, the couple were reported to have visited friends and family with their children. The family also stayed at the lavish Hotel du Palais in Biarritz as well as the stunning Chateau La Rocque, which is located in the village of Pouydraguin near Toulouse.

The pair enjoy taking holidays in France, and the family-of-four took their first holiday together to the French Alps for a skiing trip back in March, where they posed for sweet family photos in their snow suits.

The family arrived back at their home in Norfolk earlier this week, and Prince William has since gone back to work at the East Anglian Air Ambulance charity, where he works as an air ambulance pilot. However, the couple have confirmed that they will be touring Canada in the Autumn this year for official royal duties.

The palace tweeted: "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will visit Canada this autumn at the invitation of the Canadian Government. TRH hold very happy memories from their last visit to Canada in 2011 – their first overseas tour as a married couple.

"The Duke and Duchess look forward to exploring more of Canada, from British Columbia to the territory of Yukon, when they return this autumn."
