Mia Tindall jokes around with her parents at Jamie Oliver's festival

August 30, 2016

Mia Tindall has got "quite a personality" her dad Mike has previously said, and during a family outing last weekend the little girl showed her cheeky side. The youngster was pictured joking around as she played with animal balloons, adamant to take home not one – but two – inflatable toys.

Her doting parents Mike and Zara happily obliged, buying their daughter a tortoise balloon that she wouldn't let go of the rest of the day.

The family were attending Jamie Oliver and Alex James' The Big Feastival, a food and music festival held in the Cotswolds on the Blur musician's farm.

Zara, Mike and Mia were in high spirits, taking in the family-friendly activities at the outdoor event and soaking up the British sunshine.

The Queen's granddaughter, 35, and her retired rugby star husband Mike, 37, opted for casual looks while little Mia was dressed adorably in a patterned playsuit.

Mia, whose full name is Mia Grace, is seventeenth-in-line to the throne but like her mother she doesn't hold a royal title. She is the Queen's fourth great-grandchild and captured the nation's heart when she appeared in a family portrait for Her Majesty's 90th birthday, sweetly holding the monarch's handbag.

"She's got quite a little personality on her, and we encourage that," Mike recently told Good Morning Britain.

The former England rugby captain also spoke about his schooling plans for his little girl, telling the Daily Mail that he wouldn't want her to attend anywhere too far away from home.

"I'm certainly not keen on sending Mia away to a boarding school at the other end of the country," said Mike. "I know many people who say boarding was the making of them because they forged great independence from their parents, but I don't really want her to be distanced from us. Personally, I'd rather she attend a school that's nearby, where we'll always be on hand if she needs us."
