All eyes will be on Prince Alexander of Sweden as he is baptised in front of his family and family friends later this week. Ahead of the christening, the Swedish royal palace has revealed the baby's godparents.
Alexander's parents Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia have turned to their nearest and dearest to ask them to play the all-important role of godmother or godfather.
They have chosen Carl Philip's older sister and the future queen of Sweden, Crown Princess Victoria, to act as a godmother. Sofia's sister Lina Frejd and her childhood friend Wendy Larsson have also been given the honour.

Carl Philip has asked his close friend Jan-Åke Hansson, who acted as his best man at his wedding, to be a godfather. The prince's first cousin Victor Magnuson has also been named.
Baby Alexander was born on 19 April, just one month after his cousin Prince Oscar, the second child of Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel.

The christening will be a grand affair steeped in tradition. It will take place at the Drottningholm Palace Church on Friday.
Guests are expected to arrive from 11 o'clock in the morning, a programme released by the Swedish royal palace has revealed. The service, which will be aired by national broadcaster SVT, will take place at noon, followed by a reception and lunch for select guests at Drottningholm Palace.
The proud parents welcomed their son in April
The little boy will wear the same christening gown that was first worn by Prince Gustaf Adolf in 1906. The cotton and lace gown has been used by generations of royal babies, including Alexander's dad Prince Carl Philip and his aunties Crown Princess Victoria and Princess Madeleine.
His older cousins Princesses Estelle and Leonore, and Princes Nicolas and Oscar, have been the latest youngsters to wear the dress.
Alexander, whose full name is Alexander Erik Hubertus Bertil, is styled as the Duke of Södermanland. He is the first child for Carl Philip and Sofia, who married last summer.
