It's certainly one of their more memorable arrivals to date! On Sunday morning, Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge, nee Kate Middleton, flew into Vancouver on board a seaplane as they embarked on the second day of their Canada tour.
Huge crowds had turned out at the harbour side to catch a glimpse of the British royals despite the drizzly weather, and both William and Kate were clearly touched by the warm welcome they received as they emerged from the aircraft. As cheers and applause rang out around the Vancouver Harbour Flight Centre, the couple smiled and waved as they made their way onto dry land to begin a busy day of official engagements.
Kate was beautifully dressed in an Alexander McQueen design in red and white - a thoughtful nod to her host nation's colours. The stylish royal complemented her ensemble perfectly as she chose a pair of red Russell and Bromley Pinpoint court shoes. She and William were then officially welcomed to the city by dignitaries, including the premier of British Columbia, Christy Clark.
A short while later, the royal couple were driven to downtown Vancouver to visit Sheway, a pregnancy outreach program, which provides health and social service support to pregnant women with infants under 18 months who are dealing with drug and alcohol issues.
