Crown Princess Mary of Denmark has swapped her tiara and glamorous gowns for a more comfortable outfit – the national costume of Greenland!

Mary, her husband Prince Frederik and the couple's four children – Prince Christian, Princess Isabella and twins Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine – all posed for the new stamp, which was released by Greenland Post on Monday.

The family wrapped up from the chill wearing furs, boots and long-sleeved tops.

Mary looked particularly vibrant in a beaded top as she posed between her five-year-old twins, while Frederik was flanked by the couple's two eldest children, including the heir to the Danish throne Prince Christian, 11.

More photos from the shoot were released on the Danish palace's official Facebook page, showing the royal youngsters sweetly playing and bonding.

The stamp was released by Greenland, an autonomous Danish territory, in honour of Mary and Frederik's wedding anniversary.

Shortly after their May 2004 wedding, the couple embarked on their first tour abroad together as newlyweds. They visited mainland Denmark followed by Greenland. Their children have also visited Greenland in an official royal capacity.

The release of the new stamp comes just days after Mary, 44, made an outing with her adorable brood. The Australia-born princess had to step in at an engagement for her husband, who injured himself during a trampoline accident.

The palace confirmed that Frederik, 48, had fractured his spine during a session at a private gym, and will spend the next 12 weeks recovering.

The prince had to miss a reception at Christiansborg Palace for the Danish athletes at the Olympic Games and the Paralympic Games. Mary and her eldest children Isabella and Christian attended in their father's absence.
