Prince George seems to be following in uncle Prince Harry's footsteps! The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's son never fails to give royal enthusiasts a sense of déjà vu when out and about, echoing Harry's own childhood antics from sticking his tongue out at royal events to having a beloved family pet.
We take a look at just how similar the two fun-loving royals are…
They share the same fun personality
Prince Harry to this day is renowned for his sense of humour, often making jokes and laughing with others at events. As a child, he was notoriously cheeky, pulling faces at photographers and sticking his tongue out on the Buckingham Palace balcony while being held by Princess Diana.
Prince George has definitely inherited Harry's fun attitude. Princess Charlotte's older brother has repeatedly had royal fans giggling, whether he is sticking out his tongue at crowds during Trooping the Colour or refusing to high five Prime Minister Justin Trudeau during the royal tour of Canada.
They look adorable in shorts
Just like Princess Diana, Duchess Kate favours dressing George in shorts when they head out for royal engagements. The little royal looked as sweet as ever when he arrived in Canada with his parents, rocking a blue jumper and navy blue shorts – looking the spitting image of uncle Harry when he headed for his first ever day of school!
They're both huge fans of all things transport
Prince William revealed during the royal tour of Canada that his son is "obsessed" with anything that has wheels. George himself has often been spotted looking fascinated by planes, and was beaming as he joined mum Kate for the International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire.
Prince Harry also has an aptitude for transport, having been a helicopter pilot during his time in the army. The auburn-haired royal's love for vehicles was apparent in his childhood, when he and William shared a child-sized Aston Martin, a gift from their father. Prince George is reportedly set to inherit the small car, which travels up to 20mph, when he is old enough to drive it.
They were christened in the same gown
Both Harry and George were christened in the same white lace and silk-satin gown. Harry wore the original gown commissioned by Queen Victoria for her first child in 1841, worn by over 60 royal babies up until 2004, when it became too fragile to wear. As a result, the Queen commissioned her personal dresser Angela Kelly to create an exact replica – and Prince George was dressed in the outfit for his christening.
They both had royal engagements overseas at a young age
Prince George has already travelled to exotic locations with his parents, but his first major overseas engagement was in 2014 when Prince William and Kate brought him to Australia and New Zealand. The little royal quickly turned heads with his adorable expressions – even if at times he seemed bemused! Prince Harry also began travelling at a young age, if a little closer to home, flying to Aberdeen with Princess Diana when he was just a baby.
They love animals and have childhood pets
Prince George melted hearts in portraits released for his third birthday, playing with the family's pet dog Lupo on a picnic blanket in the garden and offering his beloved pet some of his ice cream. Prince Harry also had a pet when he was younger, a lop-eared rabbit that lived in a hutch in the stable yard at Highgrove.
