Meghan Markle has reportedly taken Britain's most eligible bachelor, Prince Harry, off the market – but what exactly do we know about her? Following the news that a romance has sprung up between Meghan and the royal, HELLO! Online presents five things that you need to know about the 35-year-old Suits star.

1. Showbusiness is in her genes
Meghan was introduced to the world of television from a young age thanks to her father, who used to take her on to the set of sitcom Married… With Children, where he was the lighting director. When she first got into acting, Meghan split her time between auditioning and doing freelance calligraphy, telling Esquire that calligraphy was her "pseudo-waitressing job". "I didn't wait tables. I did calligraphy for the invitations for, like, Robin Thicke and Paula Patton's wedding," she explained.
The LA native is now best known for her role in legal drama Suits, in which she plays paralegal Rachel Zane, but she has also appeared in a number of other shows including 90210, Without a Trace and Castle. As for movies, Meghan has had parts in a number of big films, including playing a Fed Ex worker in 2011's Horrible Bosses, and in Remember Me with Robert Pattinson.

2. Her connection to Prince Harry
Meghan and Harry are said to have first met through mutual friends while she was in the UK promoting Suits over the summer. While there has been no official confirmation that the pair are dating, a source told the Sunday Express that the American actress has made Harry "happier than he's been for many years", and that the Prince is "besotted".
What's more, the insider claimed that Meghan has already been introduced to Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge, and "fitted in straight away".
Eagle-eyed fans have also noted that the TV star wears an identical beaded bracelet to Harry – which many think could have been given as a gift from her royal boyfriend.

3. She runs a lifestyle website
As well as her TV work, and her humanitarian efforts – see below – Meghan also runs her own lifestyle website called The Tig, which covers a range of topics, from food and travel, to beauty and fashion.
In the ‘About’ section, Meghan explains that she came up with the unusual name of the website through her mispronunciation of a wine called Tignanello. "So there I am, with very minimal wine knowledge and I take a sip of this wine," she wrote. "It wasn't just red or white – suddenly I understood what people meant by the body, legs, structure of wine. It was an ah-ha moment at its finest. For me, it became a 'Tig' moment – a moment of getting it.
"From that point on, any new awareness, any new discovery or 'ohhhhh, I get it!' moment was a 'Tig' moment."

4. She cares about helping others
Meghan has a passion for humanitarian work. In 2016, she became the Global Ambassador for World Vision Canada, and travelled to Rwanda to help promote the Clean Water Campaign. She has also worked for United Nations Women as part of the HeforShe gender equality movement.
"I've never wanted to be a lady who lunches – I've always wanted to be a woman who works," she recently wrote on The Tig. "And this type of work is what feeds my soul and fuels my purpose. The degree to which I can do that both on and off camera is a direct perk of my job."
Outside of charity work, Meghan practises yoga, and has two dogs called Bogart and Guy.
5. She has been married once before
Meghan married producer Trevor Engelson in Jamaica in September 2011, having dated since 2004. The couple separated in 2013 and were divorced in August of that year.
