Kate's artistic hobby won't come as a complete surprise to royal enthusiasts – Prince George and Princess Charlotte's mother is renowned for her love of arts. Not only did the Duchess study art history at the University of St Andrews, but she is a patron of the National Portrait Gallery as well as The Art Room, a charity which focuses on improving the confidence and self-esteem of youth aged five to 16.

The stylish royal's love for art is also evident when she attends official engagements, never missing an opportunity to get involved with arts and crafts, whether painting an elephant with William during the couple's royal tour of India and Bhutan, or adding the final touch on a mural in Portsmouth. During a recent visit to the Natural History Museum for a children's tea party, Kate was spotted chatting to pupils from Oakington Manor Primary School and helping them to create dinosaur egg topped pencils.
