It was a case of pop royalty meeting actual royalty on Tuesday evening. Attending the Royal Variety Performance in London, the Duchess of Cornwall was introduced to Lady Gaga where she revealed that her grandchildren call her by the same name. Camilla, who was at the lavish event with Prince Charles, smiled as she told the American singer: "My grandchildren call me Gaga".

The royal couple were also introduced to Robbie Williams and host David Walliams before the star-studded show, which was held at the iconic Hammersmith Apollo. They were treated to performances from top musicians Gary Barlow, Sting and Emeli Sande as well as this year's Britain's Got Talent winner, magician Richard Jones.

Looking fabulous as ever, Camilla exuded heaps of glamour in a heavily embellished red lace gown. She accessorised the ensemble with statement diamond jewellery and a stylish black clutch bag.

Little Britain star David, 45, led a group of people to the royal box and jokingly asked the royal couple, "Can I see your tickets please?" He later teased to the rest of the group, "There's some riff-raff here sitting in your seats." Ahead of the event, David said: "I'm very honoured and excited to be hosting the Royal Variety Performance. I was lucky enough to host back in 2012 so will be looking forward to another fabulous evening with huge talent."

The night also featured David singing Something Stupid with former Take That star Robbie, a duet which was released with Hollywood actress Nicole Kidman. Amber Riley, known for her role in American series Glee, gave a powerful rendition of And I Am Telling You, while Sting performed his hit Every Breath You Take.
