Zara Tindall was in high spirits as she attended the second day of the Cheltenham Races on Wednesday. The Queen's granddaughter, who was joined by her mother Princess Anne and the Duchess of Cornwall's ex-husband Andrew Parker-Bowles, looked to be having a grand old time as she took in the action. The royal was dressed to the nines, wearing a black dress and purple pillbox hat. The Duchess of Cornwall, who wore a green coat and matching hat, also made up the royal party.

Zara was pictured laughing and cheering with her friends, and during the more tense moments of the races held her hands up to her face. The royal, 35, arrived at the event with actor James Nesbitt, who also had a spot in the VIP enclosure.

Other stars who rooted for their horses from the sidelines included Liv Tyler and her sports manager fiancé Dave Gardner. The Armageddon actress looked particularly ecstatic as she waved her binoculars around in the air. Big names from the sporting world who were also in attendance included Olympian Victoria Pendleton, footballer Jamie Redknapp and former Top Gear presenter Richard Hammond.

Zara is a regular on the equestrian circuit. The mum-of-one, who is married to Mike Tindall, always makes an appearance at the Cheltenham Races, arguably the biggest affair in the racing calendar. Her husband Mike often accompanies her to races and equestrian events, particularly if Zara, who won a silver medal in the 2012 London Olympics for eventing, is competing.

It sounds like the couple's little girl Mia, who turned three in January, is already showing a penchant for horse riding. "Mia our daughter has inherited a love of horses, she has a Shetland pony and she enjoys it so I think her mum has passed that love on… me on the other hand, well I'm more of a football man," Mike told the Sydney Morning Herald last year.
