Prince William and Kate’s whirlwind visit to Paris has come to an end! The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are heading back to the UK where they’ll be reunited with their children Prince George and Princess Charlotte, and no doubt share anecdotes from the trip.
The royals have had a jam-packed 24 hours, which all started with a meeting with French President Francois Hollande at the Elysee Palace, followed by a formal reception and black tie sit-down dinner at the British Embassy. Kate showed off her sartorial prowess, wowing in not one but two evening gowns for the occasion. The Duchess turned to her favourite designers, Jenny Packham and Alexander McQueen, for the glittering event.
The following day, Kate gave a nod to her host country, dressing head-to-toe in Chanel. Her last engagement of the day took her and Prince William to the Stade de France, where they watched the Wales vs France Six Nations match.
The royals had a whole host of engagements to attend to, and it was no doubt a poignant trip for William, who was visiting Paris for the first time in his official capacity as a royal. The Duke has previously visited the French capital since his mother Princess Diana’s tragic death 20 years ago, but this was his first time with Kate in their royal roles.
