Prince William, Kate and Prince Harry will attend a service next week at Westminster Abbey, following the recent terror attack in London. The royal trio will join families of those killed in the attack, alongside victims, witnesses and first responders from the police, fire, ambulance and NHS hospital services. Home Secretary the Rt Hon Amber Rudd MP and Acting Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Craig Mackey will also be in the congregation.
The Service of Hope will be held on Wednesday 5 April at noon, and will be broadcast live on BBC Television. The announcement from Westminster Abbey comes shortly after Prince William paid tribute to PC Keith Palmer, the brave police officer who was killed in the terror attack. PC Palmer, a doting husband and father, was standing on guard outside the Houses of Parliament when he was fatally stabbed. PC Palmer's funeral will take place at Southwark Cathedral on 10 April. He will receive a full police service funeral, followed by a private cremation.

Three other victims died in the attack, and twelve are still being treated in hospital. Aysha Frade, 44, who worked at a London sixth-form college, was collecting her children from school when she was killed. US tourist Kurt Cochran, 54, from Utah, died at the scene last week. Kurt was in the UK to celebrate his 25th wedding anniversary with wife Melissa; she was seriously injured in the attack. Retired window cleaner Leslie Rhodes, 75, from south London, was another victim who was hit by the car.
Following the shocking attack last Wednesday, the Queen released a statement offering her "deepest sympathy" to those affected by the incident. The monarch had planned to open the New Scotland Yard building the following day, but postponed the engagement.

Her Majesty's statement read: "Following the shocking events in Westminster, Prince Philip and I are sorry that we will not be able to open the New Scotland Yard building as planned today, for very understandable reasons. I look forward to visiting at a later date. My thoughts, prayers, and deepest sympathy are with all those who have been affected by yesterday's awful violence. I know I speak for everyone in expressing my enduring thanks and admiration for the members of the Metropolitan Police Service and all who work so selflessly to help and protect others."
