Pippa Middleton has celebrated her hen do! The 33-year-old was reportedly joined by her sister, the Duchess of Cambridge, for a low-key skiing break in Meribel, France last month. The pre-wedding party took place on the same weekend that Prince William enjoyed a skiing holiday with his friends in Verbier, Switzerland. The two groups even flew out on the same private plane, which was paid for by Carole and Michael Middleton ahead of Pippa's May wedding day.
A friend of the bride-to-be told the Sun: "Pippa loves skiing so it was her first choice for a hen weekend. They stayed in a really exclusive catered chalet with maids and a chef, who ensured that they were totally spoilt. The owners also wanted to impress their royal guests so the girls were showered with gifts. They were given Swatch watches, Ugg slippers, leather-bound notebooks and bespoke fragrances. It was a very small, private party and they had an amazing time."
Pippa Middleton and James Matthews will tie the knot on 20 May
Pippa is set to tie the knot with hedge fund manager James Matthews on May 20 at St Marks' Church in Englefield, Berkshire, followed by a wedding reception at her parents' nearby home in Bucklebury. Just last week, William and Kate attended a dinner party at Pippa and James' London house, where the two sisters no doubt discussed final wedding plans ahead of the big day.
STORY: Inside Kate and Pippa's special relationship
Pippa and James announced their engagement in July last year, less than a year after they started dating. A short while later, Pippa gave the world the first glimpse of her beautiful engagement ring – a decadent vintage jewel that features a halo of diamonds around a central diamond – and told waiting reporters she "couldn't be happier" following James' romantic proposal.
