The young royal was first introduced to the public on the day she was born, 2 May 2015, and like her older brother Prince George the images of the tiny infant were captured by the world's media. For Charlotte's first birthday, Kate treated fans to a set of portraits which were taken at Anmer Hall, the family's country home in Norfolk. One of the photos showed her pushing her walker across a lawn, wearing an adorable pink cardigan, dress and matching bow.

Princess Charlotte turns two on Tuesday
Although plans for Charlotte's birthday have not been released, William and Kate are expected to host a low-key children's party to give their daughter a sense of normality. Guests will most likely include Kate's side of the family, including her parents Carole and Michael Middleton, her sister Pippa Middleton, for whom Charlotte will act as a bridesmaid at her wedding next month, and her brother James Middleton. Charlotte's royal cousins Mia Tindall, Savannah and Isla Phillips, who are of a similar age as the little Princess and big brother Prince George, will also have been invited.
In November, the Duchess opened up about her daughter Princess Charlotte. She described the young royal as "extremely chatty" and "always wants to have a play date" with her big brother. Elsewhere, Prince William joked that Charlotte could be the footballer of the family after showing off her love for the sport. "Charlotte is the one who shows more aptitude [for football]," he said during a chat with the England women's team captain, Steph Houghton, and her teammate Jill Scott. "George is sort of getting into it slowly, but Charlotte is showing more aptitude."
