Meghan Markle charms the crowd during first engagement with Prince Harry: All the highlights

All eyes were on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as they made their first joint appearance as a couple. The Prince and the actress, who announced their engagement on November 27, traveled to Nottingham for their first joint engagements. Meghan, who matched her fiancé in a navy blue Mackage coat, was all smiles as she shook the hands of well-wishers.The pair participated in events that hold a close spot in Harry’s heart. Celebrating World AIDS Day and visiting youth and mentors at the Full Effect Program. Meghan and Harry were presented with gifts, ranging from flowers to cards and even Harry's favorite candy, as they made their way around the crowds in the cold for 25 minutes. Harry laughed as he and Meghan were presented with a gift during their visit to the Nottingham Contemporary, which is where the Terrence Higgins Trust held the World AIDS Day fair. The pair were also shown a UK AIDS memorial quilt, made by friends and lovers of those who passed from the disease. It’s a royal match, as Harry and Meghan both took to the children during their first official engagement! During their visit to the Terrance Higgins Trust, the couple gave their attention to tiny well-wisher. The pair met Lorraine Dube, 29 and her young son Ezekiel Wong, who was a little shy during his first encounter with the pair. “She is absolutely lovely,” said Lorraine, who is a volunteer with the African Institute for Social Development. “You can tell that she loves kids. Ezekiel was very shy. She was trying to get him to say something. In the end he said 'thank you' as she walked off, which I thought was really cute. Harry and Meghan were shown at home HIV test kits by Dr. Laura Waters, who also talked to the pair about her efforts to help people find different treatments. After their meeting, the doctor admitted that she was a little “star struck” by the pair. "We talked about the stigma and importance of educating people, but also I thanked Harry for his amazing work in reducing that stigma and coming here today." The gifts kept rolling in for Meghan, who received a posy from students at the Nottingham Academy at the end of their visit. The flowers, which included eucalyptus foliage and forget-me-nots were made by Elizabeth McKenna, who runs Flowers by Susan in Nottingham. The florist opened up about the chance to make flowers for the future royal saying: "It is a huge honor. I heard they were coming and phoned the Academy and offered to do the flowers.
