Prince Christian and Alessandra de Osma's royal wedding date revealed

The couple will exchange vows this year

January 25, 2018

Meghan Markle and Princess Eugenie aren't the only brides gearing up for a royal wedding in 2018. After tying the knot in a civil ceremony last November, Alessandra de Osma and Prince Christian of Hanover will exchange vows in a religious ceremony in the bride's native Peru. The couple's nuptials will take place on March 16 in Lima nearly four months after Christian and Alessandra said "I do" at the Chelsea and Westminster registry office

The groom's stepsiblings — Monaco royals Pierre Casiraghi, Andrea Casiraghi and Charlotte Casiraghi — along with their respective wives (Beatrice Borromeo and Tatiana Casiraghi) and boyfriend Dimitri Rassam, served as witnesses at the civil ceremony in the UK.

Prince Ernst August of Hanover's youngest son and Alessandra reside in Madrid, but chose London as the location for their civil ceremony because that is where his mother, Chantal Hochuli, lives. For the joyous occasion, the groom wore a dark suit and matching tie. Meanwhile Alessandra showed off her chic style in an elegant coat made in light tweed with a different texture on the sleeves. The Peruvian beauty accessorized with nude pumps and completed the ensemble with a simple bouquet of small white flowers.

It was revealed last April that Princess Caroline of Monaco's stepson and the Hispanic beauty, who is known as the "Princess of the Andes" are engaged. The couple first met in 2005 during Christian's visit to the South American country. Alessandra, who was only 14 at the time, served as a cicerone for the Prince. After years of friendship the pair stepped out as a couple in 2011.
