Princess Beatrice was joined by a mystery companion during a recent night out in LA. The 29-year-old royal was pictured getting into a Bentley with an unknown man after dinner out in West Hollywood on Friday night. Beatrice was seen getting into the front passenger seat of the car, while her chaperone – dressed in a light grey hoodie – took the wheel. Beatrice is believed to have been single since splitting from her long-time boyfriend, Dave Clark, in July 2016.
The former couple dated for 10 years before ending their romance. A source close to the York family said at the time: "They broke up a month ago. It was all mutual and very amicable. After ten years together, they needed to work out what they both wanted and have some space." Less than a year later, Dave announced his engagement to Lynn Anderson, in May 2017. Dave and Lynn are thought to have met in the fall of 2016, with a source telling the Daily Mail that he is "smitten" with the Virginia-born beauty.

Beatrice and Dave were together for 10 years, and spent the last year of their romance living in NYC. The former couple were initially introduced by her cousin Prince William. In 2008, Sarah Ferguson raved about her daughter's then-boyfriend. "I'm really proud that he's with Beatrice," she told People. "Beatrice is so special, it takes someone very nice to be with her – to appreciate how good she is." As for how Beatrice had reacted to news of her ex's engagement, a source said at the time: "Of course Beatrice was told and she is super happy for Dave. They were friends when they split up and will always remain friends."
