Although they officially married in an intimate civil ceremony five months ago in London, Prince Christian of Hanover and his wife Alessandra de Osma celebrated their nuptials all over again on Friday – this time, on a much larger scale! The 32-year-old royal and his beautiful 25-year-old bride held a lavish affair in Alessandra’s native country of Peru, where they first met back in 2005. The 'I dos' were said yet again at the century-old Basilica San Pedro in Lima.
A glittering collection of guests turned up for the happy occasion, most surprisingly including Princess Caroline’s estranged husband Prince Ernst August, the head of the House of Hanover. The 64-year-old unexpectedly traveled to Lima for the couple’s religious ceremony along with Christian's mother Chantal Hochuli. Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, and model Kate Moss were also in attendance!
The magical evening ceremony came after the pair were officially wed at the Chelsea and Westminster registry office back in November 2017. At the wedding, the prince had some of his royal family on hand including: Beatrice Borromeo, Pierre Casiraghi, Andrea Casiraghi with his wife Tatiana and Charlotte Casiraghi with boyfriend Dimitri Rassam. The bride, fashion designer Alessandra de Osma, walked through the town with her father Felipe before heading into the church. She looked stunning in a long-sleeved, high-neck lace gown by Spanish designer Jorge Vázquez.
Alessandra appeared to have a bit of trouble with her veil as it flowed in the wind before entering the church! Her two companions were quick to help her rearrange it before accompanying her down the aisle - one of whom was Prince Christian's half-sister Princess Alexandra.
What a beautiful bride! The high-neck wedding dress featured long lace sleeves and a lengthy train and was complemented with her hair pulled back and a long veil. She topped it with the Hanover Floral Tiara that was previously worn by Princess Caroline of Monaco and her sister-in-law Ekaterina Malyshev.
Prince Christian was accompanied into the church by his mother, Chantal Hochuli. He looked particularly dapper in a three-piece suit, featuring a great waistcoat and a blue spotted tie. Chantal opted for a red ensemble for the occasion.
The smiling couple walk down the aisle after their beautiful church ceremony, as their royal guests cheer and clap. What a special moment! The couple met in Peru back in 2005.
Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie were among the royal guests at the lavish wedding in Lima, Peru. The two sisters both chose floral midi dresses for the nuptials, with Beatrice opting for a navy off-the-shoulder style and Eugenie a long-sleeved green floaty frock.
Also in attendance was Prince Ernst August, head of the House of Hanover. He made the journey to Lima for his son Prince Christian's wedding, despite famously missing his oldest son's wedding in 2017.
Making a fashionable appearance was British supermodel Kate Moss, who attended the wedding alongside her boyfriend Count Nikolai Von Bismarck. She chose to wear a printed green maxi dress with a pink sash, RayBan wayfarer shades and some sky-high strappy gold heels.
Prince Christian's brother Prince Ernst, who married last year, made his way to the church alongside some other male groomsmen, all of whom wore differing versions of Christian's three-piece suit, finished with a dainty floral buttonhole. Ernst was also seen escorting Alessandra's mother, Elizabeth Foy Osma, into the chapel.
