Meghan Markle has seamlessly slipped into her role as a royal, and on Tuesday night she helped host a glittering awards ceremony alongside the Queen. The Duchess of Sussex, who was also joining her husband Prince Harry, welcomed some 200 guests to Buckingham Palace, including David Beckham, Ore Oduba, Lenny Henry and John Major.

The royals and stars had come together to celebrate the Queen's Young Leaders Awards Ceremony, where young change-makers from across the Commonwealth were presented with awards by the Queen. This year's cohort, from across 38 countries, have worked on a number of issues to help improve lives; these include supporting people living with mental health problems, giving access to education, promoting gender equality and climate change.

Meghan dressed to impress for the star-studded event, wearing an elegant blush pink Prada outfit. She teamed it with black Aquazurra heeled court shoes and matching Prada clutch. She wore her chestnut hair in loose waves and went for a natural makeup look.
The Queen looked typically regal in stunning floral dress and white gloves.
David Beckham was greeted by the Queen on Tuesday night as he arrived at Buckingham Palace for the Queen's Young Leaders Awards Ceremony without his wife, Victoria. The retired footballer looked dapper in a smart suit and matching tie for the special ceremony.
The footballer admitted he knew what the young award winners would be feeling - excited, and nervous. "When anyone steps in here it’s the same, it’s exciting and they are here on such a special occasion, for them it’s just a special moment," he told reporters.
Lenny Henry was another famous face warmly invited into the palace by Her Majesty. He looked delighted to be back in the Queen's presence - he was knighted by the monarch in 2015 at a ceremony in Windsor Castle.
The Duchess of Sussex seems to have mastered her royal stature perfectly, with her straight backed positioning and her need hands-on-her-lap action mirroring the Queen's. The new royal looked stunning and seemed to be relishing her role.
David Beckham, Nicola Adams and Lenny Henry sat together during the awards ceremony. Speaking to HELLO! as he arrived at the event, the father-of-four revealed his excitement and nerves whenever he visits Buckingham Palace.
The newlyweds were all smiles as the watched the Queen hand out the awards.
