The Duke and Duchess of Sussex  were reunited in Johannesburg, as they carried out a series of engagements on the final day of their royal tour of Africa.

It comes after Prince Harry, 35, released a lengthy statement on the couple's website, Sussex Official, where he spoke about how his wife has become "one of the latest victims of a British tabloid press". The statement also explained that Meghan is in the early stages of taking legal action against a Sunday newspaper, alleging that it published one of her private letters.

On their final day of the tour, the couple visited the Youth Unemployment Services (YES) Hub in the Tembisa township, where they met local youth entrepreneurs. Later met Graca Machel, Nelson Mandela's widow, and then attended a reception for those in the creative and business industries, followed by an audience with President Cyril Ramaphosa.

During a speech Harry said: "When Africa prospers, the world prospers. The Africa Investment Summit, that as already mentioned, we will be hosting in London next year will be a fantastic opportunity to showcase the potential here to the world. This is truly a continent of opportunity.

"I want to thank you again for the warm reception here today, and everywhere myself and my family have been.

"As I said to the young entrepreneurs this morning - Africa will always have a special place for me and my family, and I can’t wait to return."

During a speech at the reception, Meghan delivered a powerful speech, in which she spoke about women's rights, the gender-based violence crisis in South Africa: "I firmly believe that all women have a voice, they just need to feel empowered to use it, and people need to feel encouraged to listen.

"There is a role for all of us here. As women we can listen to one another, and lift each other up, we can raise our boys to be men who value women.

"And for men and boys, you can lead by example and not let your mothers, daughters, sisters, wives and girlfriends ever feel that they are lesser than you."
