This is the first child for the royal couple

We have since spotted that the royal may have sent royal fans a big pregnancy clue with her recent outfits – since she's been sporting some beautiful bracelets represent a special meaning for mother and child. Here, she was seen wearing a pair of beaded rose quartz bracelets, which are believed to bear protective properties during pregnancy and with childbirth.

Eugenie's older sister Princess Beatrice recently raised eyebrows after she popped into London baby shop The Little White Company while her husband was seen waiting for her in the car. The pictures were obtained by MailOnline earlier this month. The royal is no doubt looking forward to being an aunt for the first time.

Where will the baby fall in the line of succession?

The royal baby will be eleventh-in-line to the throne when he or she is born, which means that Eugenie's uncle Prince Edward will move down to twelfth place. It's unlikely that Eugenie and Jack's baby will have a royal title, as their children will take their rank from their father.

What will the baby be called?

A tribute to Eugenie's mother Sarah and the Queen could be expected for a girl, and perhaps Andrew after the Duke of York, and Philip after the Duke of Edinburgh, as middle names for a boy. Eugenie's unusual name was inspired by one of Queen Victoria's granddaughters, Victoria Eugenie of Battenberg. It generated much surprise when she was born in 1990, so the Princess might decide to follow suit with something unexpected.

What will the baby's title be?

"As things stand, Princess Eugenie's baby will not have a title, or use the HRH style, because these are passed down the male line and Jack does not have a title," says Royal Editor Emily Nash. "The Queen could change this, but only by giving Jack a title of his own or changing the rules on inheriting titles by issuing Letters Patent.

"He or she will be known as Master or Miss Brooksbank, similar to most other great-grandchildren of the Queen, such as Savannah and Isla Phillips, Mia and Lena Tindall and Archie Mountbatten-Windsor.

Will the baby ever be monarch?

No. This royal baby is way too far down the line of succession. With the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge having three children, in the future the crown is almost certain to remain on the Cambridge side of the family.

Meanwhile, this will be the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh's ninth great-grandchild. They are already grandparents to Savannah and Isla Phillips, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, Mia and Lena Tindall, and Archie Harrison-Mountbatten-Windsor.

Eugenie and Jack's baby news comes after the Yorks celebrated the marriage of Princess Eugenie's sister Princess Beatrice to property developer Edoardo at a private ceremony at the Royal Chapel of All Saints in Windsor in July.

Eugenie and her tequila brand manager husband Jack tied the knot on 12 October 2018. The couple married at St George's Chapel in Windsor, with around 800 guests in attendance. Kate Moss, Cara Delevingne and Cressida Bonas were among the famous faces in the congregation, as were Robbie Williams and his wife Ayda Field, whose daughter Teddy was one of the adorable bridesmaids.

The message Prince Charles and Camilla had posted

Members of the royal family were also out in full force, including the bride's cousins Prince William and Kate, and Prince Harry and Meghan. The Queen, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, Prince Edward and the Countess of Wessex also made up the royal party.

The wedding reception took place at the Royal Lodge, the home shared by Andrew and Sarah. Guests enjoyed dinner and dancing, and the following day the festivities continued. Cocktails, games and fun fair rides were put on for the couple and their loved ones in the grounds of the Royal Lodge.
