As patron of over 70 charities and organisations, it's fair to say the Countess of Wessex has her hands full.

Much of Sophie's day-to-day working life is dedicated to her charitable causes, which are focused on supporting people with disabilities, the prevention of blindness in developing countries, agriculture and fashion.

But she always makes sure to be wholly present at each engagement and her "genuine kindness" clearly shines through, as Karen Sugarman MBE, Executive Vice-President of Shooting Star Children's Hospices, told HELLO!: "Whenever HRH The Countess of Wessex visits Shooting Star Children's Hospices, she radiates such genuine kindness.

"Her Royal Highness radiates such genuine kindness. That kindness shows in everything she does and it's those little personal touches that make the difference." - Karen Sugarman MBE, Executive Vice-President of Shooting Star Children's Hospices

"That kindness shows in everything she does and it's those little personal touches that make the difference. She shows such warmth and understanding to the children and families we support.

"Whether it's listening to their stories or baking with the children. We're very blessed to have such a fantastic Royal Patron who has remained by our side."

Upon her marriage to Prince Edward, Sophie co-founded The Earl and Countess of Wessex Trust alongside her husband. The trust distributed over £2.5 million to over 180 causes during its two successful decades.
