The Countess of Wessex kicked off December in true festive style as she got involved in Christmas-themed activities on Wednesday.

Sophie, 56, visited the Disability Initiative in Camberley, Surrey, to take part in interactive sessions with clients ahead of the United Nations International Day of Persons with a Disability on Friday.

The royal mother-of-two was in great spirits as she donned a Santa headband during a music and drama session.

The Countess has been patron of Disability Initiative since 2003, a charity that specialises in the provision of disability services to adults with physical disabilities and/or acquired brain injury.

Take a look at the best photos from her festive outing.

Wearing a colour block outfit consisting of a cobalt blue jumper and olive green trousers, we think Sophie's Santa headband was the perfect accessory for her Christmas-themed outing.

The Countess appeared to be in her element as she joined the music and drama session. The Wessexes are quite the theatrical family, with Sophie's husband, Prince Edward, once owning his own company, Ardent Productions.

We think Sophie's chocolate robin redbreast is almost too cute to eat! We wonder if she took home some treats for her children, Lady Louise Windsor and James, Viscount Severn?
