Throughout her 70-year reign, the Queen is thought to have owned over 30 corgis, serving as a source of comfort and companionship throughout the years. It's thought that the 96-year-old currently owns two corgis and one dorgi named Candy.

It is unknown whether the corgi pictured is Muick (pronounced Mick after Loch Muick), or the corgi gifted to her by Prince Andrew and his daughters Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice.

Other much-loved royal corgis the Queen has owned over the years include Susan (who accompanied her on her honeymoon), Willow, Holly, Vulcan, Dookie, Monty, Honey, Berry, Emma, and Linnet.

The sighting comes after the Queen experienced an eventful return flight home owing to severe thunderstorms. The plane was forced to abort its landing after being caught up in an electrical storm made worse by hail and rain.

The monarch travelled to Balmoral last week and spent five nights at her Scottish country estate where she was able to squeeze in some much-needed rest ahead of her exciting Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
