A spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex previously stated: "I can confirm The Duke has recently received email correspondence from His Majesty's office regarding the coronation.

"An immediate decision on whether The Duke and Duchess will attend will not be disclosed by us at this time," they added.

But there is a big sign that Harry and Meghan have now responded to the King's invitation.

It means that guests, including Harry and Meghan, will have to have replied by the start of the week.

The couple have not publicly confirmed their attendance

In the past, Harry has spoken fears for his family back in Britain. He has stated that he wants to bring his children Archie and Lilibet to visit from their home in the US, but a legal representative has said they are "unable to return to his home" because it is too dangerous.

He chose not to travel wife Meghan and their children, Archie and Lilibet.

Notably, the date of the coronation falls on the same day as son Archie's fourth birthday, so that too may have impacted the couple's decision.

Royal watchers are speculating that either Harry will return on his own in May, or with wife Meghan by his side. But given his previous comments, an appearance from their children seems increasingly unlikely.
