Meghan Markle's impressive secret skill revealed

The Duchess is a talented lady!

April 5, 2023

Meghan Markle is a lady of many talents.

The Duchess of Sussex, who married Prince Harry in 2018, is a talented actress, expert calligrapher, impressive public speaker and even an accomplished cook -  just like her young son Archie in the video below!

But did you also know she can speak three languages?

Meghan first put her linguistic skills on display during a visit to Morocco with Prince Harry in 2019.

During a visit to a girls’ boarding school, she was clearly at ease speaking to pupils in French; one of the main languages of the Islamic kingdom, alongside Arabic and Berber.

The royal met students at the school and asked them questions such as, “Qu’est ce que tu veux être quand tu quittes l’école?” (What do you want to do when you leave school?) and “Vous voulez aller à l’université?” (Do you want to go to university?).

Prince Harry, meanwhile, was a little more unsure. As we reported that the time, he did not try to ‘parle français’, instead asking pupils: “Do you speak English? I don’t speak much French!”

Meghan is also able to speak Spanish fluently. She picked up the language while living abroad – most notable in Buenos Aires, where she worked at the US Embassy, and Madrid, where she studied in 2002 as a student at Northwest University.

There is speculation over Harry and Meghan's attendance

In the past, Harry has spoken fears for his family back in Britain. He has stated that he wants to bring his children Archie and Lilibet to visit from their home in the US, but a legal representative has said they are "unable to return to his home" because it is too dangerous.

He did make a surprise appearance in London just last week to attend a court hearing – and it sparked further debate about what that could mean for the coronation.

Royal watchers are speculating that either Harry will return on his own in May, or with wife Meghan by his side. But given his previous comments, an appearance from their children seems increasingly unlikely.
