Duchess Sophie and Prince Edward's royal family record revealed!

The couple have been happily married since 1999

The British royal family were out in force on Sunday to celebrate the first Easter of King Charles's reign.

Charles and Camilla were joined by a host of royals for the annual church service held at St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle.

Attendees included the Prince and Princess of Wales and all three of their children, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, Princess Anne and the Tindalls, who brought along their two daughters.

The new Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh were also there, adding further to a current record they hold within the royal family.

While there is no expectation for royals to join the monarch for the Easter service, many often chose to do so.

And it is Sophie and Edward who have the longest current streak of attendance.

The couple have been to the Easter worship for 12 consecutive years, Gert's Royals reports, followed by Peter Phillips, who has been going for seven straight years.

Prince William and Princess Kate have been there for five years in a row, with Zara and Mike Tindall behind them with four years.

Sophie was the picture of elegance when she stepped out on Sunday. she embraced the spring sunshine by wearing a cranberry-coloured coat teamed with a statement suede hat and matching boots. The Duchess and her husband were joined by their son James, Earl of Wessex for the service.

Their daughter, Lady Louise, was not in attendance this time. She was likely hard at work with her studies.

Lady Louise currently attends prestigious St Andrews after achieving the required grades in her A Level results.

The royal started at the university in the same week her grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, sadly passed away. Prince Edward and the Countess of Wessex's eldest child studied hard for her exams at St Mary's School Ascot to earn her place on the English course at the royal-favourite uni. Her chosen subjects were English, History, Politics and Drama.
